Oxford Royale Academy Partners with MIT for AI Summer Curriculum
Oxford Royale Academy has announced a partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to deliver AI literacy education to international summer school students in Oxford this year, according to a press release.
The collaboration will allow students aged 13 to 18 to complete the MIT RAISE FutureBuilders pathway, a structured curriculum developed by MIT's Responsible AI for Social Empowerment and Education (RAISE) initiative in partnership with Pharos Education. Participants will receive an official MIT RAISE certificate upon completion.
Oxford Royale hosts more than 3,000 students from over 175 countries each summer. This marks the first time the academy has introduced a formal AI curriculum strand within its academic programmes. The summer sessions will run from 5 to 18 July and from 19 July to 1 August 2026, with 60 places available in total.
The MIT RAISE initiative focuses on promoting AI literacy and ethical understanding among young learners worldwide, aiming to prepare them to engage with artificial intelligence responsibly and thoughtfully.
