NVIDIA has agreed to acquire Hugging Face for $12.93 billion and says the platform will continue supporting models, hardware, cloud services, and inference providers across the AI ecosystem.
NVIDIA Agrees to Acquire Hugging Face for $12.93 Billion

NVIDIA has confirmed its agreement to acquire Hugging Face for $12.93 billion, the company announced in a blog post. NVIDIA said Hugging Face will retain its brand and remain open to models, frameworks, cloud services, inference providers, and computing platforms from across the AI ecosystem.

NVIDIA compute will not be required to build or deploy through Hugging Face. The platform will continue supporting open source and open weight models, as well as development and deployment across multiple clouds and accelerators.

Hugging Face hosts more than 3 million models, 500,000 datasets, and 1 million applications. NVIDIA said more than 18 million developers, researchers, and creators use the platform, along with over 200,000 companies.
