NVIDIA and Germany Plan Industrial AI Initiative
NVIDIA said in a company blog post that it signed a declaration of intent with the German Federal Government to develop an industrial AI initiative. The agreement covers physical AI models and wider AI adoption among German manufacturers and small and medium sized companies.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang discussed the plan in Berlin on October 19. The initiative will expand NVIDIA's work with the government's Industry 4.0 Platform, which includes representatives from government, industry, research institutions and trade associations.
Huang also disclosed planned investments in four German startups: Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo and Reflex Aerospace. The investments are part of NVIDIA's commitment of nearly $10 billion to companies, universities and research institutions across Europe.
