Nearmap Expands Roof and Exterior Measurements for Insurers

Nearmap has enhanced its Roof and Exterior Measurements solution, extending full coverage to all insurable properties and improving workflow integration for insurers using Verisk platforms.

Nearmap has expanded its Roof and Exterior Measurements solution with new enhancements for property and casualty insurers, announced in a press release. The updates include full coverage of all insurable properties and faster processing for roof and exterior measurements, now exceeding one million reports annually.

The solution integrates with Verisk XactAnalysis and Xactimate platforms, enabling insurers to access property intelligence directly within existing claims workflows or through API connections. Reports include 3D property models, sketch diagrams, and historical aerial imagery to assist adjusters in creating accurate estimates.

Independent testing by Haag Engineering found Nearmap roof area calculations to be 98.4 percent accurate compared with physical measurements. Residential roof reports can be delivered in about 50 minutes, while commercial reports take around six hours.

Nearmap’s platform combines aerial imagery, 3D-enabled measurements, and damage insights to support faster and more consistent claims handling across both daily and catastrophe operations.
