Navi AI has come out of stealth with $6 million in funding from United Airlines Ventures, BVVC, New Vista Capital, Raptor Group, I2BF, and the U.S. Department of War to enhance pilot training using AI technology.

Navi AI has emerged from stealth with $6 million in total funding from investors including United Airlines Ventures, BVVC, New Vista Capital, Raptor Group, I2BF, and the U.S. Department of War, announced in a press release.

The San Francisco-based company has developed a generative AI platform designed specifically for pilot training. It has been trained on more than 100,000 real flight hours and will be deployed to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and other flight academies this spring. The Department of War is also funding Navi to adapt its technology for the U.S. Air Force.

Founded in 2024, Navi’s system collects telemetry, cockpit audio, weather data, aircraft history, and traffic information to automatically generate detailed post-flight debriefs. The AI model aligns its analysis with each flight school’s syllabus, helping instructors and trainees review performance and safety data after every flight.

The technology is already being used or evaluated by several institutions, including Sling Pilot Academy, University of North Dakota, Purdue University, Utah State University, Delta State University, and the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base.
