Saab unveiled a family of AI agents for future aircraft after testing the software aboard a Gripen E fighter jet, according to Breaking Defense. The agents use several AI methods to make tactical decisions in complex environments and can work with a cockpit pilot or operate an uncrewed aircraft.

Saab created the AI Fighter Jet Pilot Academy to develop, train and evaluate the agents. Testing has focused on combat beyond visual range, including integrating the agents with the Gripen E.

The company plans to use the technology in future air programs, including its A1, A2 and A3 uncrewed aircraft projects and a planned loyal wingman drone. Saab is also a partial founder of Sferical AI, a Swedish computing initiative built with Nvidia DGX SuperPOD architecture to support model training and communication between agents and operators.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
