Meta has acquired Conductor, an AI coding startup, people familiar with the deal told Axios on November 4, 2026. Conductor's platform lets software engineers run and coordinate several AI coding agents in parallel.

Conductor was founded in 2024 and is led by co-founders Charlie Holtz, its CEO, and Jackson de Campos, its CTO. According to the sources, its pace of product development and focus on developer experience are expected to help Meta build its next generation of AI coding products. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal came on the same day OpenAI told Axios it plans to acquire Pierre Computer, a startup that stores and manages AI-generated code. OpenAI also announced plans in June to acquire Ona, which builds cloud coding environments and agent orchestration.
