Karoo Health Raises $16.2 Million to Advance AI Cardiovascular Platform
Karoo Health has raised $16.2 million in a Series A round co-led by 7wire Ventures and Allumia Ventures, according to a press release. Other participants include First Trust Capital Partners, SpringRock Ventures, and Hyde Park Angels.
The Albuquerque-based company is developing an AI cardiovascular platform designed to connect payers, providers, and patients through unified data and workflow systems that support early risk detection and care coordination. The funds will be used to further develop predictive models, signal detection capabilities, and clinical infrastructure, as well as to expand engineering and clinical teams.
As part of the financing, Lee Shapiro from 7wire Ventures and Jeff Stolte from Allumia Ventures will join Karoo Health’s board of directors. The company currently supports more than 600 cardiology providers across 11 U.S. states and works with several national and regional health plans. Analyses of existing programs have shown a reduction in emergency department visits and inpatient admissions by more than 40 percent and an over 10 percent reduction in overall care costs.
