Atlas Bio raises $12.5 million for virtual drug trials

Oct 27, 2026
Swiss biotech startup Atlas Bio raised $12.5 million to develop an AI model that simulates drug efficacy and safety in virtual patients.

Swiss biotech startup Atlas Bio emerged from stealth with $12.5 million in funding, according to Tech.eu. The total includes a $10 million seed round led by Creandum and an earlier $2.5 million pre seed round led by First Momentum Ventures and LEA Partners.

Atlas Bio is developing an AI foundation model for virtual clinical trials. Trained on roughly 2 million RNA readouts from human tissue, the model simulates drug efficacy and safety across virtual patient groups before Phase II trials.

The company says a simulation project takes 12 weeks, compared with two to three years for a Phase II trial. Its platform also allows researchers to test multiple treatments against the same patient profile and disease state.

Atlas Bio is working with a top 10 global pharmaceutical company. It will use the funding to expand its scientific and commercial teams, validate the platform and add enterprise customers through 2026.
