Itch.io says daily game page creation doubled in two months

Itch.io says daily game page creation doubled over two months, but downloads and purchases did not increase at the same rate. Store data and listings indicate that generative AI content contributed to the surge.

itch.io says daily game page creation doubled over the past two months, while downloads and purchases did not, according to Game Developer. A chart shared by the store showed daily page creation rising from about 3,000 in August to nearly 8,000 in October.

The store did not directly attribute the increase to generative AI. However, its account responded to questions about AI with robot and tired emojis, while many recent listings use images generated with AI.

Applying itch.io's No AI filter reduced search results from 1,772,099 to 432,180. Creators are asked whether their projects contain assets produced with generative AI, but they can publish a page without answering the disclosure question.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
