Roblox says more than 80% of its top 100 games by hours played in September used AI assistance. Creators have published more than 70,000 games through its Build platform.

Roblox says more than 80% of its top 100 games by hours played in September were AI assisted, in its third-quarter shareholder letter, TechPowerUp reports. In the third quarter, two games "created almost entirely with AI" broke into the platform's top 20 by concurrent player count.

The letter says "AI-enabled game creation, automation in code generation and AI supported asset creation are leading to an explosion of content" since Roblox launched its AI game-building tools, following the expansion of its AI development tools. Use of those tools among top creators has more than tripled.

More than 500,000 people have used Build, Roblox's generative AI game builder, since its alpha launch in New Zealand, Singapore, Serbia and Thailand, and they have published more than 70,000 games. Build launched in late July 2026 as a mobile-first tool. It is available to age-verified users aged nine and older, while published AI-generated games are available to users aged 16 and older.
