Finanz Informatik and IBM have extended their collaboration to enhance IT services for the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, focusing on AI, automation, and hybrid cloud technology, announced in a press release. The new contract aims to support Finanz Informatik's strategic initiatives by leveraging IBM's latest technologies.

The agreement includes the use of IBM's mainframe, Power, and storage systems, along with AI-supported system software from the watsonx product portfolio. This will enable Finanz Informatik to modernize its core IT systems and applications, improving service delivery across its network.

Additionally, the collaboration aims to strengthen cyber resilience in compliance with the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). By utilizing IBM's solutions, Finanz Informatik will enhance its backup and recovery capabilities, ensuring the protection of critical financial data.

The partnership also emphasizes sustainability, with a focus on evolving IT infrastructure in an environmentally friendly manner using energy-efficient IBM mainframe and Power servers.
