Cognizant Partners with Cognition to Bring Autonomous AI Engineers to Enterprises
Cognizant has announced a strategic partnership with Cognition, the creator of Devin AI, to help enterprises apply autonomous AI to large-scale software development announced in a press release. Devin can independently plan, execute, and validate development tasks across complex systems, extending beyond traditional coding assistants.
The partnership combines Cognition’s autonomous and agentic AI technologies, including Devin and the Windsurf development environment, with Cognizant’s delivery platforms such as Flowsource. This integration aims to modernize applications faster and enhance productivity across the software development lifecycle, including tasks like code migration, testing, and maintenance.
Cognizant will embed Cognition’s technologies into its engineering practices and frameworks to enable secure and governed enterprise adoption. The company has already deployed Windsurf internally as part of its Vibe Coding initiative, demonstrating AI-assisted software development at scale.
Initial efforts will focus on enterprise modernization and large-scale engineering transformation programs, with plans to expand the collaboration across industries and additional use cases over time.
