CGI has announced a new global collaboration with OpenAI to help clients implement advanced AI capabilities securely and effectively, according to a press release. The alliance aims to enable large-scale enterprise adoption of generative AI while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.

Under the agreement, CGI will expand its use of OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise platform to equip tens of thousands of its consultants. The company plans to integrate OpenAI’s training materials into its AI literacy programs, enhancing staff expertise in prompt engineering and AI role development.

The collaboration also includes joint work on enterprise deployment models, security practices, and feedback-driven improvements based on CGI’s experience operating AI at scale. CGI applies OpenAI’s technology through its Responsible Use of AI Framework, ensuring compliance with security and ethical requirements.

This partnership builds on CGI’s ongoing 'Client Zero' strategy, where the company first tests and embeds AI across its own operations before deploying similar solutions for clients.
