Contiem Joins IBM on UK Defence AI Logistics Upgrade

Contiem has been selected by IBM to support the UK Ministry of Defence’s DEEAMS programme, an AI-powered logistics modernization effort replacing 17 legacy systems with a unified platform.

Contiem has been chosen by IBM to join the delivery team for the UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Equipment Engineering Asset Management System (DEEAMS) programme, announced in a press release.

The DEEAMS initiative is an AI-driven modernization programme designed to replace 17 legacy systems with a single integrated platform. The project, valued at £320 million, aims to improve operational efficiency and generate over £1 billion in benefits through reduced support and IT costs.

Working alongside IBM, Contiem will contribute its expertise in data governance and technical documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality data across land, air, and naval systems. The company will provide its notusCSDB S1000D software and RSuite Component Content Management tools as part of the DEEAMS solution.

Contiem is also expanding its UK workforce to support the rollout. The collaboration is expected to enhance lifecycle management and operational availability across the Ministry of Defence’s equipment portfolio.
