Fermi America has signed a memorandum of understanding with Doosan Enerbility to support its nuclear-powered AI campus in Amarillo, Texas, announced in a press release. This strategic partnership aims to explore cooperation in both large-scale nuclear power plants and small modular reactor technologies.

The collaboration is part of Fermi America's long-term nuclear development strategy, which includes partnerships with other leading nuclear energy companies and experts. The AI campus, being developed on 5,200 acres of Texas Tech University System land, is set to integrate various energy sources, including nuclear, natural gas, solar power, and battery storage, to deliver up to 11 gigawatts of power.

The first gigawatt of natural gas power generation is expected to be online by the end of 2026, with one gigawatt delivered per year for a decade. This initiative aims to bridge the power gap and support next-generation artificial intelligence technologies.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
