Elsevier has launched LeapSpace, an AI-assisted workspace for academic and corporate researchers, announced in a press release. The platform combines Elsevier’s extensive collection of peer-reviewed scientific content with responsible AI tools to help users conduct literature analysis, generate ideas, and collaborate securely.

LeapSpace integrates millions of peer-reviewed articles and abstracts from Elsevier and other publishers, offering features such as Trust Cards that explain sources, highlight contradictions, and provide evidence transparency. It also includes tools for deep research analysis, funding discovery, and document comparison, all within a secure environment.

Developed with input from thousands of researchers across more than 300 institutions in 64 countries, LeapSpace uses agentic and generative AI technologies alongside retrieval-augmented generation. An independent Advisory Board will oversee algorithm transparency and neutrality. The platform is currently available for institutional preview, with a full rollout planned for the first quarter of 2026.
