DBS Rolls Out Agentic AI for Corporate Credit Memos

DBS has rolled out an agentic AI system for corporate credit assessments, IBS Intelligence reports. The system is being used by about 1,500 employees globally after a pilot with 150 users.

The tool supports more than 70 tasks involved in preparing credit memos for large and mid sized corporate clients. It gathers structured and unstructured information from annual reports, industry research, and internal records to create a first draft for review.

Relationship managers and credit risk managers can refine the draft with client knowledge, industry context, and business information. DBS said credit memos and related activities can take up to 40% of relationship managers' time, and the bank is targeting a reduction of at least 30% in time spent on this work.

The rollout follows DBS work on agentic AI for customer and employee services. In July, the bank announced upgrades to DBS Joy and DBS digibot, which it said will support about 10 million customers across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
