Anthropic in Talks to Buy Decart AI for About $6 Billion
Anthropic is in talks to buy Decart AI for about $6 billion, according to Bloomberg. The deal has not been finalized and could fall through.
Decart makes world models and software designed to reduce AI training costs by helping chips work more efficiently. The startup is backed by NVIDIA and raised $300 million in May in a round led by Radical Ventures.
If the acquisition is completed, Decart's team would join Anthropic's inference and performance organization. Decart's Lucy model can edit live video in real time, and its Oasis model generates simulated environments for robotics and autonomous driving systems.
