Natuvion and NTT DATA Study Finds 76 Percent AI Use in IT Transformations
Natuvion and NTT DATA Business Solutions surveyed more than 1,100 executives and IT specialists for their 2026 IT Transformation Study, which they announced in a press release. The study found that 76 percent of companies use AI during IT transformations, while 71 percent change their migration method during a project.
Respondents said AI is used in several parts of transformation work. Sixty three percent use AI for technical analysis and implementation, nearly 60 percent use it for data quality and migration, and 56 percent use it for strategic planning.
The study also found that data quality remains a recurring problem. Twenty six percent of companies cited poor data quality as a key problem and unexpected challenge, while 39 percent named analysis of the existing IT landscape as the biggest challenge during planning.
Most projects also exceeded initial plans. Eighty two percent of companies went over budget, just under 80 percent went over schedule, 44 percent planned for projects to take one to two years, and 53 percent budgeted between 5 and 50 million euros.
