Asteromorph Opens Wet Lab for AI Biology Research

Nov 2, 2026
Asteromorph has opened a biological laboratory in Hwaseong, South Korea, to test scientific hypotheses and treatment strategies generated by AI.

Asteromorph, a South Korean company developing AI reasoning technology for scientific problems, said on Monday that it has built its own biological laboratory at a bio research complex in Hwaseong and begun full scale operations, The Asia Business Daily reports.

The company plans to combine its AI research with experimental validation in one research system that can generate scientific hypotheses and then test them. The lab will run in vitro experiments on cellular responses and in vivo animal studies to validate biological hypotheses produced by its AI.

Asteromorph says it will use the lab to validate new treatment strategies proposed by AI and to run several therapeutic platform pipelines at once. It aims to rely less on external research facilities, adjust experiment schedules and resources for each project, and turn the data and findings into intellectual property.
