Armadin Raises $189.9 Million to Develop AI-Driven Cyber Defense Platform

AI-native cybersecurity company Armadin has raised $189.9 million in combined Seed and Series A funding, announced in a press release. The round was led by Accel, with participation from Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Menlo Ventures, In-Q-Tel, and follow-on investment from 8VC and Ballistic Ventures. The company said this is the largest early-stage funding round in cybersecurity history.

Founded and led by Kevin Mandia, Armadin is focused on addressing the rise of AI-powered 'Hyperattacks'—automated, multi-modal cyberattacks operating at machine speed. Its platform deploys a swarm of specialized AI agents that simulate advanced human threat actors, continuously identifying and testing exploitable risks across enterprise systems.

The company stated that its agentic attacker swarm operates autonomously, reasoning and adapting to provide organizations with real-time assessments of vulnerabilities. Armadin’s approach combines offensive cybersecurity expertise with AI research to help organizations prepare for large-scale, automated cyber threats.
