Cisco Expands Splunk AI for Private and Isolated Environments

Cisco introduced new Splunk AI, observability and security tools at Splunk .conf in Denver on September 15, the company said in a press release. Cisco says the updates are aimed at helping customers securely and cost effectively scale AI wherever their data resides.

Cisco AI POD for Splunk, developed with NVIDIA, brings Splunk AI to on premises, private cloud and air gapped environments. Splunk also added support for locally hosted generative AI models, including Cisco Deep Time Series Model, Google Gemma 4 and OpenAI GPT-OSS 20B.

Splunk Agent Observability adds Tokenomics features that track agent performance, attribute and forecast token spending, and monitor coding agent use. Other additions include Observability Studio, the Network Intelligence App, new Essentials and Premier editions, agentic SOC capabilities for detection engineering, threat hunting, investigation, response, governance and exposure analytics, and expanded Splunk Enterprise Security offerings.

Cisco AI POD for Splunk and Splunk AI Assistant are available now. Agent Launchpad is expected later in 2026. Cisco also signed a multiyear agreement with AWS to co develop security solutions and advance agentic security operations.
