A5G Networks and Partners Achieve AI-Driven 5G Integration
A5G Networks, zTouch Networks, and Northeastern University have announced the successful integration of zTouch's AI-powered automation framework with A5G's AI-driven mobile packet core, as stated in a press release. This integration was executed within Northeastern University's AI-RAN over-the-air private 5G network.
The zTouch.OS framework is designed to simplify and automate operations in AI and RAN environments. It provides a platform compliant with O-RAN standards, integrating various intelligent controllers and applications to enable real-time network control and reconfiguration. By leveraging advanced AI algorithms, zTouch.OS optimizes resource allocation and ensures compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
The A5G mobile packet core, which is cloud-native and compliant with 3GPP Release 17 specifications, supports numerous AI/ML-based optimizations. These include paging optimization, handover optimization, anomaly detection, and traffic classification. The core software offers a scalable solution for various deployments, from IoT and private networks to smart cities and connected car networks.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards intelligent, autonomous network deployments, paving the way for the future of 5G and beyond. The integration showcases the potential of AI-native, end-to-end connectivity across private and public networks, setting the stage for more flexible and cost-effective network solutions.
