Airoha Details 50G PON AI Gateway Processor

Oct 8, 2026
Airoha will demonstrate a gateway processor that supports 50 Gbps transmission in each direction, Wi-Fi 8 and local AI tools for network diagnostics.

Airoha Technology detailed the 50G PON AI Gateway Processor from its broader Network X 2026 platform showcase in a press release. The company will demonstrate the processor with parent company MediaTek at Network X in Vienna from October 13 to 15.

The processor supports 50 Gbps transmission in each direction and integrates PON, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 8, encrypted packet processing and local AI computing. Its system on chip design includes 20 processing cores and can handle the fiber connection, Ethernet interfaces and wireless traffic at the same time. Airoha says the platform offers up to five times the transmission speed and up to 80% lower latency than XGS PON.

The gateway can run AI agents that diagnose wireless signal problems, configuration errors, unstable connections, device overload and abnormal optical network unit status. Users can describe an issue in natural language, after which the agent can review device telemetry and network status, recommend actions or perform approved fixes. The platform also supports post quantum cryptography.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
