Eaton is collaborating with NVIDIA to enhance data center infrastructure through high-voltage direct current systems, supporting AI workloads and optimizing power management. The partnership between AMD and XMPro aims to improve AI processing at industrial sites by integrating AMD's Lemonade Server with XMPro's platform. China has launched a $223 million underwater AI data center near Shanghai, utilizing seawater cooling and offshore wind power. Activate Capital has invested in XNRGY to advance data center cooling technologies to meet rising energy demands.

Regulation & Policy

The Trump Administration is set to announce new AI guidelines focused on reducing regulations and boosting energy sources for data centers, while also promoting global AI partnerships and security. Meanwhile, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is planning to resume exports of its MI308 AI chips to China, contingent on approval from the U.S. Commerce Department, following discussions between Nvidia CEO and former President Trump as U.S.-China relations show signs of improvement.

Data Centers

Cushman & Wakefield ranks Abu Dhabi and Dubai as top emerging data center markets, while Blue NAP Americas and Radian Arc launch an AI IaaS platform in the Caribbean and Central America. Hyperscale Data reduces its debt by $20 million, and AMD introduces a rack-scale AI infrastructure. China plans to build 40 AI data centers in Xinjiang, and Oracle is set to open a cloud services center in Indonesia. Meta announces a 5GW AI data center in Louisiana, and Anosh Ahmed plans an AI data center in Chicago. The Open Flash Platform initiative aims to cut AI costs, and Vantage Data Centers invests $3 billion in a Nevada campus.

Cadence has introduced a new LPDDR6/5X memory IP system solution, designed to enhance AI infrastructure with faster memory speeds and improved capacity.
Exascend has unveiled the PE4 series, marking the release of the first 30.72TB 7mm U.2 SSD. This new product aims to enhance edge storage with its high capacity and energy efficiency.
Mizuho analyst Vijay Rakesh has increased the target price for AMD to $175, highlighting new opportunities for AI chip shipments to China after a recent policy change.

The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) reported a significant profit increase in the second quarter of 2025, driven by high demand for AI chips, with net revenue exceeding expectations.
