IBM and Arm Holdings Plc have announced a strategic collaboration to create new dual-architecture hardware for enterprise computing, announced in a press release. The partnership aims to help businesses run AI and data-intensive workloads with greater flexibility, reliability, and security.

The collaboration will combine IBM’s expertise in system design, security, and scalability with Arm’s power-efficient architecture and broad software ecosystem. The companies plan to expand virtualization technologies to allow Arm-based software environments to operate within IBM’s enterprise platforms, improving software compatibility and deployment options.

IBM and Arm are also exploring methods to meet high-availability, performance, and data sovereignty requirements for modern workloads.
