XpertDox Brings AI Medical Coding to Kai Shin Clinic

Kai Shin Clinic will use XpertDox's autonomous medical coding platform across its behavioral health and primary care operations in Minnesota.

XpertDox and Kai Shin Clinic announced in a press release a partnership to introduce autonomous medical coding at the Minnesota health provider. The deployment will cover services including addiction medicine, mental health, psychiatry and primary care.

XpertDox's XpertCoding platform uses symbolic AI, neural networks, ensemble machine learning and payor specific guidelines to assign medical codes. Each coding decision can be traced to provider documentation, providing an audit record for billing and compliance teams.

The platform also provides analytics for coding accuracy, quality metrics and HCC/RAF risk adjustment. Kai Shin Clinic operates multiple Minnesota locations and also offers medication assisted treatment, intensive outpatient programs and laboratory services.
