INmune Bio and QCi Apply Quantum Computing to XPro Research
INmune Bio and Quantum Computing Inc. announce in a press release a collaboration that will apply quantum optimization, AI and data analytics to research on XPro, an investigational treatment for Alzheimer's disease and other conditions. The initial engagement is Quantum Computing Inc.'s first commercial project in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology market.
The companies will analyze clinical and public biomedical data using the Dirac-3S quantum optimization machine. The work will examine potential disease indications, patient groups and biomarkers linked to the biology targeted by XPro, which is designed to inhibit soluble tumor necrosis factor while preserving other immune functions.
Researchers will compare results from the quantum system with conventional statistical and machine learning methods. INmune Bio will contribute data from preclinical research and four clinical trials, while the agreement includes options for additional work as its clinical programs progress.
