Workday Named a Leader in Gartner Workforce Management Report

Workday was named a Leader in the inaugural 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Workforce Management Technology.

Workday, Inc. said in a press release that Gartner named it a Leader in the inaugural 2026 Magic Quadrant for Workforce Management Technology. Workday's workforce management suite combines time tracking, absence management, scheduling and labor optimization within Workday Human Capital Management.

The suite includes mobile, web and kiosk tools, demand forecasting and AI powered features for frontline industries. Its Workforce Management Agent, powered by Sana, automates tasks including schedule changes, time tracking, shift swaps, staffing and approvals.

Workday said early adopters reduced time spent managing schedule changes by up to 90% and manual time entry errors by 75%. Valvoline cut weekly schedule creation from more than two hours to about 15 minutes, while Life Time reported more than 50,000 manager hours saved annually and a 50% reduction in overtime costs.
