Oct 20, 2026
Workday now lets customers build, deploy, and manage HR and finance agents with their preferred development tools and AI models.

Workday now supports headless operation in its Trusted Agent Platform, letting customers build, deploy, and manage AI agents for HR and finance with their preferred tools and models, according to FutureCIO. The platform applies Workday permissions, policies, reporting structures, and business processes to agent actions.

Agent-Ready Tools use the Model Context Protocol to give compatible agents controlled access to Workday data and approved actions. Live Data Query lets users and agents query current data with SQL without creating custom reports or duplicate datasets.

Developer Agent supports application and agent creation through natural language instructions. Customers can deploy Custom Agents through Agent Harness and frameworks including LangChain, using models from Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral, OpenAI, and NVIDIA.
