Vertiv Expands Italy Campus to Boost AI Data Center Cooling Production

Vertiv has announced new investments at its Tognana campus in Italy to expand manufacturing and testing for data center cooling systems, aiming to double chiller production by the end of 2026.

Vertiv announced in a press release that it is expanding its manufacturing and testing operations at its Tognana campus near Padua, Italy. The investment aims to double chiller production capacity in the region by the end of 2026 and includes plans for a new large-scale testing laboratory set to open in early 2027.

The new facility will enable testing of large chillers and assess their integration with liquid cooling systems under high-density loads and extreme temperature conditions. This will help customers verify thermal performance and deploy complex cooling setups more rapidly.

The Tognana campus integrates research, product management, manufacturing, and customer engagement for Vertiv's cooling technologies. The site also includes a Customer Experience Center for witnessing tests across the thermal chain under real operating conditions.
