Daikin expects its North American data center cooling business to exceed about $3.3 billion by fiscal 2030 and plans to expand production capacity.

Daikin expects its North American data center cooling business to exceed about $3.3 billion by fiscal 2030, the company said in a press release. It plans to increase production capacity to 2.5 times its 2024 level as demand grows from AI, cloud computing and digital services.

Daikin is investing in a Data Center Hub in San Diego for product development and customer work. It also plans a $163 million advanced research and development test lab focused on cooling technologies.

The plans are part of Daikin's 2026 U.S. Business and Innovation Report. The company operates 24 manufacturing facilities and nine research and development centers in the United States, where it employs more than 25,000 people.
