Vertiv Acquires Strategic Thermal Labs to Strengthen Liquid Cooling Capabilities

Vertiv has acquired Strategic Thermal Labs, a Texas-based specialist in advanced liquid cooling and thermal engineering for high-performance computing, expanding its expertise in AI and data center thermal solutions.

Vertiv has acquired Strategic Thermal Labs, a thermal engineering company based in Georgetown, Texas, announced in a press release. The acquisition extends Vertiv's thermal chain strategy and enhances its engineering capabilities for high-density AI and computing environments.

Strategic Thermal Labs specializes in direct to chip liquid cooling and designs high performance cold plate solutions for data centers, high performance computing, and AI infrastructure. The company provides expertise in managing chip level thermal challenges and density issues.

Vertiv stated that the addition of Strategic Thermal Labs will improve its ability to simulate and emulate dense computing conditions and optimize the relationship between thermal and power systems. The acquisition supports Vertiv's goal of delivering integrated power, thermal, controls, and lifecycle services to customers managing complex infrastructure.
