In a press release, Tyler Technologies announced a definitive agreement to acquire For The Record for an enterprise value of $258 million. The acquisition aims to expand Tyler's Courts & Justice portfolio by integrating For The Record’s courtroom recording and speech-to-text technologies.

The combination will connect courtroom recordings directly with digital case files, enabling near real-time access and improved workflow efficiency across judicial processes. Tyler stated that this integration will enhance visibility and allow court staff to focus on higher-value tasks.

For The Record, which operates in over 80 countries, develops solutions such as FTR Justice Cloud and FTR RealTime. The company specializes in modernizing how courts capture, manage, and distribute official records. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Tyler’s innovation in AI-driven courtroom technology.
