Human Friendly Robotics has signed a three year, $3.55 million contract with Foley Tile, the companies said in a press release. Human Friendly Robotics will deploy its Tyler tiling robots alongside Foley Tile crews in Arizona and beyond.

Tyler handles repetitive tile placement, while installers manage cutting, edges, finishing and quality control. The agreement uses pricing based on each square foot installed and does not require Foley Tile to purchase equipment.

Foley Tile previously tested Tyler at Plaza Las Américas in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The companies said the robot and installation crew worked at eight times the stated human benchmark pace during the project.
