Shifters Raises $10.2 Million to Advance Autonomous Ground Robots

June 04, 2026
Israeli robotics startup Shifters has secured $10.2 million in seed funding led by Ace Capital Partners to accelerate the development and production of its autonomous ground platforms designed for high-risk environments.

Israeli robotics company Shifters has raised $10.2 million in seed funding to develop autonomous robotic systems for defense and security applications, reports Calcalist. The round was led by Ace Capital Partners with participation from Aurelius Capital Management, Corner Ventures, Arkin Capital, and Fresh Fund, bringing total funding to $15 million.

Founded in 2023 by CEO Ofer Ballin and CTO Assaf Chaprak, Shifters builds modular ground robots designed for complex terrain and dangerous environments. The systems follow Modular Open Systems Approach principles, allowing operators to attach different payloads such as sensors, cameras, or other mission-specific equipment. The robots are remotely controlled and are being upgraded with autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance capabilities.

According to the company, the new funding will support expansion of its AI systems, production scale-up, and international operations. Shifters currently employs about 20 people across Israel, the United States, and Europe, and is hiring in AI, mechatronics, and software engineering. The company has ongoing contracts with defense and national security clients, including the Israeli Ministry of Defense and foreign partners.
