Pathwork Launches Broker Access to Medical and Prescription Data

June 02, 2026
Pathwork has introduced an AI platform that gives life insurance brokers instant access to prescription and medical claims data, allowing faster and more informed underwriting decisions.

Pathwork announced in a press release the launch of a new AI platform that provides life insurance brokers immediate access to prescription and medical claims data used in underwriting. The tool allows brokers to review a client's health history in seconds before submitting a case, helping them determine carrier fit and risk class earlier in the process.

The platform uses AI to analyze structured health data and present underwriting insights, including key findings and recommended next steps. It operates on a HIPAA-compliant infrastructure that enables secure handling of sensitive medical information.

Pathwork reports that its data sources cover more than 80 percent of applicants, with prescription records spanning seven years and updated daily. Brokers using the platform can reduce attending physician statement and lab orders by about 90 percent, while improving underwriting speed by over half. The company said this approach helps brokers set clearer expectations and reduce last-minute case declines.

Pathwork, based in San Francisco, supports brokerages and carriers across the United States and offers sample reports and pricing information on its website.
