PATEO Adds Nemotron and Doubao to Vehicle AI Box

Nov 3, 2026
PATEO integrated NVIDIA Nemotron and ByteDance Doubao into its vehicle AI Box for local speech and language processing. Mass production for a nominated vehicle program is expected in the second quarter of 2027.

PATEO said in a press release that it integrated NVIDIA Nemotron and ByteDance Doubao into its vehicle AI Box, which is built on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor. The system runs speech and language processing locally to support multilingual interactions without a cloud connection.

The model suite includes Nemotron 3.5 ASR for speech recognition, a 35 billion parameter Doubao mixture of experts model, text to speech synthesis, and a 2 billion parameter model for semantic classification and request rejection.

PATEO's AI Agent platform combines voice, visual, and sensor inputs to interpret requests and cabin conditions. Subject to vehicle safety permissions, it can operate cabin controls, access online services, manage concurrent tasks, and remember user preferences with authorization.

PATEO developed the system with ByteDance and an unnamed new energy vehicle manufacturer. The company expects mass production for a nominated vehicle program to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
