Olympus and Ziosoft Launch AI Surgical Planning Tool
Olympus Corporation has announced the launch of its first AI-powered clinical decision tool through a strategic partnership with Ziosoft, announced in a press release. This new application is designed to enhance surgical planning for liver, lung, and kidney procedures by integrating advanced imaging analytics and machine learning.
The tool transforms 2D CT and MRI images into precise 3D models, aiding surgeons in pre-operative planning. For thoracic surgery, it assists in planning lung cancer and thoracic procedures by reducing invasive approaches. In liver surgery, it helps visualize liver anatomy and plan liver-sparing surgeries, while in urologic surgery, it aids in assessing tumors and abnormalities for minimally invasive nephrectomies.
Olympus will showcase the Ziosoft Revoras platform at the annual Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) meeting. This collaboration marks a significant step in Olympus's mission to bring innovative AI-enabled solutions to the healthcare industry, aiming to improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes.
