The Saffron Solution Brings AI Workflow Tools to AAO 2026
The Saffron Solution said in a press release that it will demonstrate more than 50 applications for ophthalmology practices at AAO 2026 in New Orleans from October 10 to 12. The software covers scheduling, patient intake, referrals, prior authorization, surgery management, communications, analytics, and patient reactivation.
The company charges no software licensing fees for the applications. Practices can retain their existing electronic health record, practice management, and communications systems, while paying for contracted operational services and applicable third party expenses.
The platform combines robotic process automation, custom AI agents, and multilingual patient support. It also includes Model Context Protocol servers that connect AI assistants with authorized practice data and tools, allowing administrators to query workflows such as incomplete surgery requirements or referrals that have not produced completed visits.
