Orbis International will use AWS funding, cloud credits and technical support to expand AI assisted screening for retinopathy of prematurity across four Asian countries.

Orbis International was selected as a winner of the 2026 Amazon Web Services Imagine Grant Children's Health Innovation Award, the nonprofit said in a press release. Orbis will receive funding, AWS cloud computing credits and technical support to expand AI assisted screening for retinopathy of prematurity.

The project will integrate screening technology from Siloam Vision into Cybersight, Orbis's telemedicine and online learning platform. The system will process retinal images, support clinical decisions, prioritize urgent cases and connect premature babies with follow up care.

The project builds on screening work in Mongolia and Bangladesh. Orbis plans to expand access for clinical teams in India and Vietnam.
