Moon Surgical and KARL STORZ Form Collaboration on Laparoscopic Platforms
Moon Surgical and KARL STORZ have announced a strategic commercial collaboration that pairs Moon Surgical's Maestro platform with KARL STORZ 3D visualization and instrumentation, according to a press release.
The collaboration aims to expand access to advanced laparoscopic surgery by providing surgical teams with a more comprehensive environment combining imaging and intraoperative tools. It integrates Moon Surgical’s real time AI capabilities and workflow automation with KARL STORZ’s 3D visualization and instrumentation, intended to improve procedural stability and consistency.
The combined offering is aimed at hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers seeking to perform minimally invasive surgeries with greater predictability and reduced variability. The partnership supports Moon Surgical’s Scalable Surgery initiative, which focuses on making advanced laparoscopic procedures more accessible and efficient.
Executives from both companies stated that this agreement sets a foundation for further joint engagement as the integrated technologies are adopted across more points of care.
