Linearis Joins Two Canadian AI Health Data Projects

Linearis will participate in two projects funded through the Terry Fox Research Institute's Digital Health Innovation Fund, covering cancer treatment prediction and neurodegenerative disease monitoring.

Linearis was selected for two projects under the Terry Fox Research Institute Digital Health Innovation Fund, the company said in a press release. The fund is investing a combined $40.9 million in 14 Canadian projects involving 55 partners.

The first project will combine genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic data with AI to predict treatments for people with lung, breast, or colorectal cancer. Partners include MRM Proteomics, Simmunome, the Jewish General Hospital, and Nova Scotia Health.

The second project, conducted with Nanil Therapeutics, will use standardized health data and AI to identify biomarkers for studying and monitoring neurodegenerative diseases. Both projects will use federated learning infrastructure that supports analysis across institutions without transferring the underlying data.
