LG Electronics Joins SDVerse to Expand Automotive Software Offerings

LG Electronics has joined SDVerse, the automotive industry's first B2B software marketplace, to introduce its AlphaWare portfolio and support the shift toward software-defined vehicles.

LG Electronics has joined SDVerse, the automotive industry's first B2B marketplace dedicated to software, announced in a press release. By adding its AlphaWare portfolio of software solutions to the platform, LG aims to help automakers and suppliers accelerate the transition to software-defined vehicles.

Founded in 2024 by General Motors, Magna, and Wipro, SDVerse serves as a global matchmaking platform for automotive software buyers and sellers. It is designed to promote transparency and collaboration across the supply chain, moving away from the traditional in-house development model.

Through its participation, LG plans to deepen cooperation with automakers and component suppliers. The company’s AlphaWare suite offers tools to manage the growing complexity of automotive software, improve system reliability and security, and enhance in-vehicle experiences.
