LegalOn Acquires Fides to Add Governance Capabilities to Its Legal AI Platform

October 21, 2025
LegalOn Technologies has acquired Fides Technology, expanding its platform beyond contract and matter management to include governance and entity management tools for in-house legal teams.

LegalOn Technologies has acquired Fides, a Munich-based governance AI company, expanding its platform to include board and entity management features according to a press release. The deal marks LegalOn’s first acquisition and follows its $50 million Series E funding round earlier this year.

Founded in 2021, Fides provides AI-powered tools that centralize and automate governance, board management, and entity oversight for global enterprises. Its clients include Allianz Global Investors, Lime, and Sequoia. The company’s team, led by cofounders Lisa Gradow, Vincent Bobinski, and Philippa Peters, will continue to operate from Munich under the LegalOn brand.

Fides will remain available as a standalone product while being integrated into LegalOn’s platform. The integration will enable corporate legal teams to manage contracts, matters, governance, and compliance from a single system. LegalOn now operates from hubs in the U.S., Japan, and Germany, expanding its global presence to support its growing customer base.
