Rocsys Introduces Multi-Bay Hands-Free Charging System for Robotaxi Fleets

April 29, 2026
Rocsys has unveiled the M1, a hands-free charging platform capable of serving multiple robotaxi bays, and raised a $13 million Series A extension backed by Capricorn Partners and Scania Invest.

Rocsys has introduced the Rocsys M1, a hands-free charging solution designed to serve multiple bays for robotaxi fleets, announced in a press release. The system is part of a broader depot automation platform and will begin large-scale rollout across North America and Europe in 2027.

The M1 uses an overhead rail-mounted design with a flexible robotic arm to connect and disconnect charging cables across mixed electric vehicle fleets. It supports up to ten bays from a single unit and is compatible with various chargers and connector types. Rocsys states that the system can increase staff productivity by up to 75 percent while reducing operational costs.

Alongside the product launch, Rocsys raised a 13 million dollar Series A extension led by Capricorn Partners and Scania Invest. The funds will support scaling the M1 platform, which is currently in pilot deployment and expected to serve thousands of charging bays over the next five years.
