Infineon Integrates Quantum Secure TPM with NVIDIA Jetson Thor
Infineon Technologies AG has integrated its OPTIGA Trusted Platform Module (TPM) SLB 9672 with NVIDIA's Jetson Thor platform, announced in a press release. The certified hardware security solution provides a quantum-resilient root of trust for Physical AI systems by securely storing cryptographic keys and verifying system integrity at the chip level.
The OPTIGA TPM enables cryptographically verified software authenticity, hardware-protected key storage, and secure over-the-air updates. It supports measured boot and remote attestation, allowing operators to confirm that deployed systems remain unaltered throughout their operational life. The TPM is also protected by a post-quantum secured firmware update mechanism.
Infineon’s next-generation OPTIGA TPM will include post-quantum algorithms standardized by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, such as ML-KEM and ML-DSA. Developers building on the current version will be able to transition easily to the updated cryptographic framework.
The integration aligns with regulatory efforts including the EU Cyber Resilience Act, the EU AI Act, and IEC 62443, which require demonstrable hardware-level security for robotics, healthcare, and industrial systems. Infineon and NVIDIA aim to support secure deployment of robots and autonomous systems that operate safely across their lifecycle.
