aiMotive Launches Data Recording Systems for Automated Driving

aiMotive introduced two data recording systems for collecting sensor data used in ADAS and autonomous driving development, testing and validation.

aiMotive announced in a press release two data recording systems for ADAS and autonomous driving development, testing and validation. The aiMotive Rig and aiMotive Rooftop Box combine NovAtel SPAN GNSS+INS technology with aiMotive's aiRec recording software for positioning, timing, sensor monitoring and diagnostics.

The compact aiMotive Rig includes a Hesai OT128 LiDAR and a NovAtel PwrPak7D-E2 enclosure. It supports static environment capture, positioning, AI based automatic annotation, HD map creation and lane function benchmarking through the aiData toolchain.

The Rooftop Box combines six Sony IMX728 cameras, two Hesai LiDARs and the same NovAtel enclosure to provide 360 degree coverage. It also supports annotation of moving objects, neural reconstruction through World Extractor and automated driving validation workflows. Both systems feed the aiData annotation pipeline, and the Rooftop Box also supports the World Extractor pipeline for creating simulation ready synthetic environments. They are available for direct purchase or through aiMotive's Professional Services offering, which includes end to end data collection.
