Infineon Acquires C2i Semiconductors for AI Data Center Power Management

Infineon Technologies AG has agreed to acquire Bangalore based C2i Semiconductors, adding digital power management technology for AI data center applications.

Infineon Technologies AG has agreed to acquire Bangalore based C2i Semiconductors, a company that makes software defined multiphase controllers and smart power stages for AI data center applications, the company announced in a press release.

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of calendar 2026. C2i's technology is designed for power delivery architectures from grid to core in AI servers and high performance computing platforms.

Infineon plans to add C2i's digital power management expertise to its power semiconductor portfolio, including silicon, silicon carbide, and gallium nitride technologies. The acquisition will also expand Infineon's engineering capabilities in India, where the company has about 2,800 employees.
